MEET THE SPECIALIST
Dr. Diovane Ruaro
Specialties:
With 22 years of experience as a doctor, Dr. Diovane Ruaro is a highly qualified plastic surgeon, specializing in facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty. Full member and current president of the Brazilian College of Plastic Surgery, he is also a member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons and the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (ABCPF). In addition, he is a full member of the Brazilian Society of Rhinoplasty (SBR).
Over the last 15 years, he has dedicated himself intensely to facial plastic surgery, being coordinator of the postgraduate course in facial plastic surgery at ENSINE/FOR-MED, in Rio de Janeiro. Re-elected for a second term as president of the Brazilian College of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Diovane Ruaro is recognized as a professor, preceptor and reference in his field, in addition to being an enthusiast of facial surgery.
Dr. Eduardo Teixeira
Specialties:
Dr. Eduardo Teixeira is a Full Professor at the Department of General and Specialized Surgery at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) and a member of the Plastic Surgery Service at the Graffrée Guinle University Hospital. He coordinates the postgraduate course in Plastic Surgery at EnsinE and has a solid academic background, having a Master’s degree in Surgery from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and a PhD in Surgery from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
A full member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons (CBC) and the Brazilian College of Plastic Surgery (CBCP), Dr. Teixeira also serves as Academic Director of the Brazilian Association of Liquid Implants (ABIL) and is president of the Brazilian Association of Doctors with Expertise in Postgraduate (ABRAMEPO), being a prominent figure in the field of plastic surgery and medical education.
Dr. Bóris Ramírez
Specialties:
Dr. Boris Ramírez Serafinoff is a renowned oculoplastic and oculofacial surgeon, and a member of the Colombian Association of Oculoplastic and Oculofacial Surgery, the Brazilian College of Plastic Surgery, and the Pan-American Society of Oculoplastic Surgery. He received the Edison Teixeira Award for Best Presentation at the VIII International Congress of the American Society of Cosmetic Medicine and Surgery, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, on October 30–31, 2016, in collaboration with the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Medicine. His academic excellence was also recognized with the National Research Award from the Colombian Society of Ophthalmology in 1997.
Dr. Ramírez is a respected international speaker, invited to present in the USA, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile. His career is marked by a strong commitment to scientific advancement, education, and excellence in oculoplastic and oculofacial surgery, making him a key figure in the Latin American medical community.

Course Schedule – Facial Dissection
Day 1 – Theory: Fundamental Anatomy and Basic Dissection
( Morning 08:00 am – 12:00 pm) – Theory and Discussion
Introduction to Facial Anatomy: Presentation of the facial layers (skin, subcutaneous tissue, SMAS – Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System, muscle plane, and bony plane), facial expression muscles, and main blood vessels.
Facial Nerves: Detailed study of the facial nerve (branches and emergence points) and the trigeminal nerve (sensory function).
Anatomy of the Periorbital and Nasal Regions: Focus on the unique aspects of these areas, including ligaments, fat pads, and high-risk blood vessels.
Anatomy of the Cervical Region: Study of the neck anatomy, emphasizing structures connected to the face, such as the salivary glands (parotid and submandibular) and cervical lymph nodes.
Danger Zones: Identification of high-risk areas for aesthetic procedures (vessels and nerves), such as the periorbital region, temples, and mandibular angle.
Instrumentation and Biosafety: Discussion of dissection instruments and biosafety standards applicable to cadaver handling.
Discussion and Q&A: At the end of the session, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss findings with the instructor.
